What will my tour include?

  • Full-Day Tour With a full day (approximately 8 hours), I can show you all of the East Neuk villages. I can also tailor an itinerary to suit your preferred interests. More interested in in shopping than history? Hoping to see heritage properties or beautiful views? Want to focus on fishing boats or castles or foodie stops? I can make that happen!

I can also take you to St Andrews or Falkland as part of your Full-Day tour. We’d then be able to do three East Neuk villages along with either St Andrews or Falkland in the morning or afternoon. I can advise on the best route and options when we discuss your preferences.

  • Half-Day Tour This 4-hour option includes 3-5 village stops along the East Neuk coastline. OR we can focus on splitting the tour time between St Andrews and one East Neuk village.

  • *Rate includes: 1 to 3 people, transport and fuel for the agreed itinerary, with a dedicated driver-guide for up to 4 hours (half-day) and up to 8 hours (full-day).

  • *Rate does not include: any entrance fees and your food and drink. Let me know your preferences and I can make recommendations.

Trip overview:

  • For: 1-3 people

  • Duration: half-day 4 hours; full-day 8 hours

  • Collection from: Leuchars Station or St Andrews. (Option to collect from Edinburgh for additional charge of £100.)

  • Fitness level: Any, but do be aware that the East Neuk villages have many cobbled pavings, uneven surfaces and some stairs.

  • Recommended equipment: walking shoes and a waterproof jacket. Optional: swim gear for one of the outdoor pools

  • Available: All year round

  • Recommended time: April to November

  • Optional activities: museum, castle/garden, distillery and salt pan tours (you pay any entrance fees)

  • I will provide: spare outdoor gear, first-aid kit, swimming towels, sunscreen.

Good to know:

  • A deposit payment of £100 is payable at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable but deducted from your balance due.

    1. The balance must be paid at least four weeks before your tour starts.

    2. If you have to cancel your tour but you give me at least two weeks’ notice before your tour’s start date, I will refund 100% of the balance.

    3. If you have to cancel your tour within two weeks of the start date, 50% of the balance will be refunded.

How do I book?

Start by telling me:

  1. Dates - when would you like to do this tour?

  2. Pick-up/drop-off - Leuchars/St Andrews or Edinburgh* (*extra charge of £100).

  3. Number - how many people are in your group.

You can do this by filling out the form below, or by emailing me. I will confirm availability and send you a draft itinerary with recommended options. We can go back and forward as required until you are happy. When you are happy to go ahead, you will be invited to pay the deposit of £100 to secure your booking and I will then share your finalised itinerary, including daily stops and timings, optional excursions, suggested references and any additional reading.
